Meet Carolina.

Carolina Porto is a licensed clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in Paris; across public mental health services, private practice, and now through Nest & Bloom, the community she built from the ground up.

She currently works at the CMPP (centre médico-psycho-pédagogique), a public centre specialising in children and adolescent mental health, where she provides therapy and psychological assessments and collaborates daily with multidisciplinary teams, schools, and social services. She also works with families in exile and asylum-seeking situations; experience that has shaped her deep commitment to accessible, culturally grounded care.

For seven years, she also ran a private practice in Paris with a network of international partners, working with children, teenagers, and adults navigating anxiety, mood difficulties, developmental challenges, trauma, and the particular complexities of multicultural and expat life. Trilingual, she works comfortably across cultures and languages, and holds that diversity as a core value in everything she does.

Nest & Bloom grew from that same conviction: that families deserve support that is both clinically serious and genuinely human. As a psychologist, a mother, and someone who has spent years building bridges between mental health, education, and community, Carolina created a space where care, community, and clinical expertise meet.

Her approach.

Carolina works from a psychodynamic foundation, with attention to the relational, developmental, and cultural dimensions of each person's experience. Her work with children and families integrates assessment, individual therapy, and parent support; always with an eye to the wider systems a child moves through: school, family, community, culture. She holds a particular interest in multicultural identity, migration, and what it means to grow up, or raise children, across more than one world.
