Through the Looking Glass
A weekly talking circle for tweens, ages 10–13 through the lens of photography
Children and teens get all the attention. But what about those in-between?
The years between 10 and 13 are their own quiet revolution; friendships shift, identity takes shape, the world grows louder, and so much feels hard to put into words. Through the Looking Glass gives tweens a space of their own: a small, weekly circle where they can slow down and feel genuinely heard.
Photography is the way in. Some weeks the group takes their own photos; other weeks they look at images together.
From there, the conversation opens onto the themes that shape these years: identity, relationships, change, social media, family, school, current events… and everything in between
How it works
A weekly circle, every Thursday during the school year
45 minutes of guided, confidential group work
A small group: places are intentionally limited so every voice has room
Led by a clinical psychologist, in a warm and judgment-free setting
A full-year journey, September through June, so trust and connection can deepen over time
